Bob Keane
Bob Keane is a Canadian songwriter and acoustic guitar player presently residing in London Ontario. Born in a border town in 1955 (as the song goes) Bob has spent more than thirty years (on and off) in the music business. As a folk singer in the seventies he played plenty of coffee houses, college gigs, church basements, seedy bars and of course the famous "Laundry mat Coast to Coast Tour" of 1976 (transportation provided by Canadian Pacific Railroad-freight division). Bob always said "The problem wasn't catching the train, it was running fast enough to get on it ". I met Bob shortly after the Laundry Mat Tour.While maintaining his own unique folk roots style Bob's musical writing style today also incorporates rock and country music, although he sometimes flashbacks into the slow psychoactive hippie stuff. Presently, as the follow up to his 2007 record "Live at Grooves" Bob's new album "Hot Tarmac" has now been released and is available in the London Ontario area at Grooves Records on Clarence street or Rivertown Galleries on Baseline Road in Byron. .......
